http://alkalinevegangirls.com/guided-7-day-intercellular-spring-cleanse-alkaline-vegan-girls-herb-electric/ As winter turns to spring, I have been seeing a lot of acorns on my front yard. My Dad slid on one yesterday when he was walking me out front to do my business. I find the acorns to be very frustrating, especially since I naturally associate them with squirrels who I believe are put on this planet to torment me.
But, did you know the acorn, or oak nut, is actually good for nature because mice, squirrels, ducks and woodpeckers like to eat them? I don’t eat them because I find they are extremely hard to chew and even harder to digest. However, the squirrels I see on my property (that I bark at and try to scare away), load up on them and store them for the winter. The acorns they drop on their way to their hiding spot can be the beginnings of a new oak tree. This is good for nature.
Squirrels…friend or foe…or just plain nuts?… You decide.
