http://suttontherapy.com/\"/prednisone\ After my socialization test (that I passed with flying colors), my Mom told me I was going to preschool once a week where I could run cage-free with other dogs and play all day. I loved my preschool, although it was a long day that did not include a nap! “How is a puppy supposed to be good all day without a nap”, I asked my Mom. My Mom said that was just part of growing up and I would get used to it. I wasn’t so sure about that. There were many nights that I fell asleep in the car on the way home and went straight to my crate when I got home in order to get a good night’s sleep. My Mom usually got a good report from the owners when she came to pick me up. However, one time they told my Mom how I had been put in quiet corner for bothering some cute girl puppies. What tattletales!
http://therapeuticindulgence.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http://therapeuticindulgence.com/wp-admin/ After my third trip to preschool, I heard my Mom and Dad talking about how smelly I was and how I needed my first haircut. I was a little offended, but did always want to look my best. So, I jumped up into the car the following Saturday and drove to the canine hair salon. My Mom told them to wash me with “Little Slugger” shampoo and to just trim my fur. I was leaning against her leg and was surprised when she handed my leash over to the woman behind the desk and left! I was going to have my first bath and haircut without my Mom? This was not okay! Before I had time to let out a pitiful whine, the lady whisked me up in her arms and snuggled me. She said “Bailey, we will take such good care of you.” Maybe, this would not be so bad…..
enter Wrong. I was dropped into a big tub with lots of soap and water. They washed everywhere! Even behind my ears! They dried me with a huge towel and then placed me in a small crate to dry off. Hey, where’d everyone go? I tried to take a nap, but the puppies all around me were so noisy. After listening to this racket for what seemed like forever, a different lady opened my crate and took me out. She put me on a big table with a harness around my neck. As she placed the harness on me, she said, “Bailey, this will keep you safe as I give you a haircut”. She then proceeded to brush and cut, brush and cut. It seemed like there was an awful lot of hair falling to the ground. I hope she is leaving some for my Mom to stroke.
Mom! As I looked towards the door (hoping to make a speedy exit), I saw my Mom standing there. I started barking. I wanted her to come get me now. But, the woman was not through trimming my hair. A few minutes later, she was finally done. She removed the harness around my neck and placed me gently on the floor. My Mom came over and hugged me. “Bailey, you smell so good and you look so handsome!” I always love it when my Mom calls me “handsome”. I immediately forgave her for leaving me a while ago.
Even better, when we got in the car my Mom handed me a new toy that squeaked and had a fresh bone waiting for me. She always knows the right thing to do to make me happy. She is pretty cool, even if she is a Mom
